Electric Fuel Pumps - Design, Work And Faults

Electric fuel pump is utilized in modern internal combustion motors to provide fuel from the fuel tank to the injectors. The pump should provide fuel under high pressure, so the nozzle can spray it in the engine. Electric fuel pumps are often installed in fuel tank (intake), even though some can be installed outside. How can electrical fuel pump work?

When the ignition, the electronic control unit excites the relay, which provides voltage into fuel pump, its engine starts to rotate, and in a few minutes it generates necessary gas pressure.
